Tumaini Wambua John born and raised in Kenya. He heads the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Department focusing on water supply and sanitation in Urban informal settlements (Slums), Refugee communities and Pastoralist regions across East Africa. He is a Global Young Water Solutions Fellow 2017; a program that aims to empower young leaders from low and middle income
countries to implement projects to tackle water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH), water pollution and water scarcity issues, by offering them an intensive training program, seed funding grants for their projects, and mentoring support by senior level experts during one year. Tumaini also leads the
Research and Development department, and projects Implementation. He holds B-COM (Management Science) and DBA Diploma from Kenyatta University and The Presbyterian University of East Africa respectively.
